Pair Work
Pretend that you are going to the same party as Kim in 3A and you're trying to decide what to wear. Your friend has just arrived to help you decide. Work with a partner and make up a dialog describing the outfits and your decision on what to wear to the party. Present your dialog as a role-play to the class.

Europeans didn't use buttons to hold clothing together until the 13th century. Before that, they had used buttons for decoration only. Some people say that in the 16th century, buttons were sewn on men's coat and shirt cuffs to stop them from rudely wiping their mouths on their sleeves!
